ABOUT

Parker is a career student and obsessive reader who writes about competent (usually nerdy) women finding and fighting for their own steamy HEA.

Parker's books are inspired by her former jobs and life experiences (interviewing for the CIA... twice), working in four states and with a variety of companies and school districts as everything from a movie projectionist to a curriculum advisor.

She has four degrees (from MIT to USC), meaning you'll see a lot of stories set in or around academia, four children, seven chickens and sometimes publishes children's books under Marie Chow.

Some Random Facts: 

1. Parker initially wrote children's books because she'd dreamt of raising her children in a bilingual household. She eventually sold the reprinting rights to two of these (Because Dragons Love Milk and To the Moon!) to Scholastic, and, through a weird twist of fate, there's now a take-home activity and recipe kind of about her son. 

2. Though born and raised in the U.S., Parker spent a few years living in Taiwan and found herself needing to relearn English when she was younger. Thankfully, there was a lovely saleslady at the local Thrift Store who allowed Parker to buy books by the bag. On a near-weekly basis, Parker would fill a grocery bag worth or mostly Harlequin books for $3, learning about everything from cucumber sandwiches (many of these were set in England) to how people earn those happily-ever-afters.
